The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project. Qualitatively new data on the history of settlement and migration of the Eurasian continent and on the territory of Uzbekistan from the II-I millennium BC to the XV-XVI centuries were obtained. To solve the problem, new archaeological and anthropological materials obtained in recent years were used. It turned out that the crisis of ancient cities and villages in Uzbekistan was directly related to environmental climate change. 25 articles were published, including 4 abroad and 21 in the republic.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

The archaeological materials collected in 1970-1980 from the Poleolithic sites of Kulbulak, Obi Rakhmat in the Tashkent region, Zirabulak in the Samarkand region and Uchtut in the Navai region were processed. It turned out that raw materials played a crucial role in the development of the stone industry in Uzbekistan, in the existence of primitive man. 18 articles have been published, including 2 abroad.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

A generalized analysis of numismatic finds from the most important archaeological sites of Ancient Bactria / Tokharistan (Surkhandarya region) is carried out. The periodicity of coin minting in this historical and geographical area is established, the successive stages in the development of monetary circulation in the periods are identified and studied: Based on the statistical analysis of coin finds in the region, the chronological interval of circulation of individual coin types is specified. The order of appearance of imitative issues in this region is revealed and methods of their chronological and dynastic attribution are proposed. 18 articles were published, including 2 abroad and 16 in the republic.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

New data on the ancient history of the Khorezm oasis, ethnic and cultural-historical processes that took place on its territory before and during the formation of the ancient Khorezm state were obtained. The research results suggest the existence of previously unknown cultural contacts between Khorezm and Mesopotamia (Ctesiphon) in the Early Middle Ages. 32 articles were published, including 6 abroad and 26 in the republic.

 

A1-FA-O-12942 " Formation and dynamics of the development of the anthropogenic landscape in the Ferghana Valley and Ustrushan (on the example of archaeological sites)” (2012-2014) – Anarbayev A.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

More than 900 archaeological sites of the Ferghana Valley and the Jizzakh region have been identified and systematized. As a result, a map and catalog of the archaeological sites of Ferghana were prepared, which allowed us to trace the origin and development of the anthropogenic landscape. In particular, new archaeological materials characteristic of the Late Paleolithic were discovered. This fills another gap in the archaeology of Ferghana. This era is characterized by the appearance of early modern humans-homo sapiens sapiens, i.e., homo sapiens. At this time, a person of modern physical appearance appears, who, developing life skills, later culture, laid the foundation for the entire evolution of society. 27 articles have been published, including 2 abroad and 24 in the republic, there is 1 monograph 17.09 pages.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

In the process of systematic archaeological survey of the Bukhara, Kagan, Shafirkan, Karakul and Alat districts of the Bukhara region, a set of archaeological sites has been prepared, conducted using modern international technical and scientific requirements. The result is the creation of a complete Data Bank on the archaeological monuments of the region, their protection and protection, raising our knowledge about the historical heritage of Bukhara Sogd to a new, higher level, corresponding to the requirements of the present day. For each object, their geographical coordinates, satellite imagery, description, and photo fixation are determined. On the basis of the lifting material, the chronological framework of the origin and dynamics of the settlement of objects, the processes of ethnic movements, settling and symbiosis of nomadic and sedentary-agricultural tribes are revealed. The systematization of the monuments made it possible to divide them into large and small cities, fortified and undefended settlements, fortresses and mounds, and, on the basis of these written sources, the localization of the most famous centers was carried out. 23 articles were published, including 4 abroad and 19 in the republic.

 

A1-FA-0-17607 "Stages of development of cultures of the Kashkadarya oasis and the history of irrigation (in antiquity and the Middle Ages" (2012-2014) – Raimkulov A.

The main scientific and technical results obtained within the project.

The main goal of the project was focused on the Collection of archaeological sites of the Kashkadarya oasis according to modern technologies with the involvement of GIS (Geographical Information System). As a result of archaeological and reconnaissance work in the upper Kashkadarya, the archaeological sites of the Yakkabag, Shahrisabz and Kitab districts were examined, where about 600 monuments of different times were identified. The results revealed that 20% of the monuments appeared in the Ancient period, 50% of the monuments have layers of the early Medieval period and 30% of the monuments continued to settle in the Middle Ages. In parallel, have been studied history of ancient and medieval irrigation Kashkadarya, Aksu, Kizildere, Langosteria. 17 articles have been published, including 2 catalogues.

 

"Formation and stages of development of irrigated agriculture in the Tashkent oasis and the Ferghana valley (based on archaeological materials of the Bronze Age, early iron and antiquity)" (2015-2017) - Anarbayev A.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

Analysis of archaeological and paleogeographic materials shows that the most convenient and safe places were first explored. Such places in the Ferghana valley was sadurni depression. In particular, in the lower layers of the Chust monument, the first settlement of ancient farmers of the Chust culture was recorded, based on irrigated agriculture, which dates back to the XXV-XVIII centuries BC. Starting from the middle of the second thousand years. Irrigated agriculture is expanding and the remaining trans-adir depressions of Ferghana, which were located in the basins of Karadarya, Kasansay, Akbura, Margilansay, Sokhsay, etc., are being developed. 6 articles have been published, 2 are in print.

 

"Creation of a complex of archaeological heritage sites of Jizzakh and Sirdarya regions and their historical and geographical map” (2015-2017) -Pardayev M.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

The geographical location and water resources of the studied region (Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions) were studied, according to these research results, they brought certainty to the ancient irrigation system. It is in these irrigation zones that the distribution of the main archaeological sites is noted. More than 100 archaeological sites have been identified and topographical plans have been drawn up, characteristics have been described, coordinates have been clarified, and protective zones have been designated. 11 articles were published.

 

"Ancient and medieval historical topography of Southern Sogd (according to archaeological and written sources)" (2015-2017) - Raimkulov A.

The main scientific and technical results obtained in the framework of the project.

In the Kashkadarya region, more than two hundred archaeological sites of different times were recorded and taken into account. Studies on the historical geography and localization of medieval rustaks (districts) of the Kesh (Kitab-Shahrisabz) oasis were completed and their boundaries were determined for the first time. Based on the new archaeological material, the historical topography of the two central cities of Southern Sogd – Nasaf (Shulluktep) and Kesh (Shahrisabz) and the history of artificial irrigation of the Nakhcheb, Kesh and Guzar oases were studied. 7 articles have been published.

 

PZ-2016-0908175719 "Culture of foothill and mountain regions of Uzbekistan in the Karakhanid era" (2017-2018) - Maksudov F. A.

The project will create and analyze a database of available historical and archaeological data on the archaeological sites of the Karakhanid era located above 700-800 meters above sea level. The geopolitical strategy of the Karakhanids, who located some administrative centers in the foothill and mountain zones, will be comparatively studied and investigated. The specific urbanization, material and spiritual culture, art, craft, commodity-money relations, mining and the economy of the population who lived in the foothills and mountainous regions of Uzbekistan during the Karakhanid period will be studied. In addition, the Karakhanid mountain civilization will be studied in comparison with other known mountain civilizations of the world (the civilizations of Machu Picchu in South America, Nepal and Tibet in Asia). Having identified their specific features and the general course of development, theoretical conclusions will be drawn.

The project will: collect, restore and systematize fragments of paintings from the archaeological sites of Uzbekistan; review and summarize data on the chemical composition of materials used by ancient masters to create monumental paintings; study technical and technological techniques and features of art schools. The chemical composition of plaster, ornament base and pigments of ancient paintings from Karatepe and Fayaztepe, Afrasiab and their technological and artistic features will be studied.

During the project period, the digitization of archival materials (reports) on the set of monuments and archaeological research of the Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent and Ferghana regions will be carried out. Rare editions of the scientific library of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan are digitized. An electronic catalog of the exhibition-museum of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be created.
